Round 2 ... Let's Rock!

Awwwws yea.. I'm still not posting much on this site, but said, hey this is as good as any reason to post.. I have left PeopleSoft err Oracle! As much as I'd like to say I won the lottery and no longer need to work, that's not case and I have a new job. I'll be working at Workday which is Dave Duffield's new company (he's PSFT's founder). I'll still be doing app development, just on a totally new tech stack. So yea, I start on February 5th and am ready for all that it brings.
PS. Once we go public please buy many many shares and make me rich.

I saw the sign

So I never listen to opie and anthony, but coming back from in n out on tuesday, i turned it on and dammmmmmn!!! am I glad I did. This girl won a karaoke contest and was invited in to sing her rendition of 'I was the Sign'. Instant classic.. Enjoy!

back to the blog

man, this is really easy to forget about.. i have no clue how Jenni does it. I'll have to get some tips. Anyway, I'll start to update this sucker again. I've been messing with Picasa some more. It's a damn good photo organizer and now it has an online storage. The prices seem comparable to flickr's. I uploaded a few pics from oktoberfest to it and am trying to figure out which system I like more.

Oktoberfest

Fleet Week SF!

Last weekend was fleet week. We had a last minute party on the roof. The usuals came out and it was great. I took about three pics and I'm not even sure if any are worth putting up here. I need to buy a new camera.. My current one is a brick and I don't like carrying it around (well I did get it 4+ years ago - thanks Mom!) Hell, maybe I'll upload a pic from last year (you'll never know!) Anyway, I gotta remember to bring my camera to Oktoberfest this weekend.. I'm sure I'll get some good pics from that event.



sports: Sunday watched my Raiders try to do the 0-16 season. Tim's Lions are fighting us for the first round draft pick. Dodgers are out of it.. They lost fair and square; at least we swept the loser Giants. For now, I'll root for the A's. When's basketball start? Go Lakers!

Dodger Blue!

Dodgers made the playoffs.. Oh so cool. Had a crew go to the Friday night game - Megan, Geoff, Kermie, Ralf and Santiago. We partied at MoMo's before the game in a sea of Blue.. Then had some sweet seats - Tommy Lasorda was about 25 rows below us. Anyway, LA won it in the 9th on a wild pitch.. ahhh.. good times! Then back to MoMo's with all the Dodgers fans. (pics to follow)


Now it's LA vs NYM. Kevin and I will battle. Going to be tough, but yea, Let's Go Dodgers!

ps. I'm not even going to attempt to talk about the Raiders.. booo f'in hoooo!

I'm slow at this

I think last Monday I said to myself, I need to update this with the weekend happenings.. Well today is Friday and no update. Blah. anyway, I'm sitting here bored, so I'll go into the timemachine and recap last weekend (as if anything special happened!).

Sat night, Sam, Tim and I went to see AFI / Tiger Army. Good show.. I still remember the days of drinking outside Gilman and then cruising in to watch them.. I call it the pre-makeup days of AFI. Their shit is still good, but nothing beats those old songs!

Sunday watched football.. Lots and lots. Then Monday went and saw my great Raiders get killed by the bastard Chargers. Damn!!! Alright, nothing else I can say about that. Oh my new seats are pretty good. I'll have to take a picture from them next home game.And with that.. I'll end this.

Gotta have a pic with each post right? Well here's the hotel room that we had for Erik's bachelor party in Cabo. I took 3 whole pics and they all look like this! We do have others, but the drummer from Pennywise has them ... and that's a totally different post!

 

Wedding weekend

This was the wedding weekend. Erik and Lauren got married up in Nevada City on Saturday and then Bob and Nicole on Sunday back in Berkerely.

Round 1: Megan and I drove up to her folks house Thursday night (missing Friday traffic on a holiday weekend.. very good). Then Friday evening went to the rehersal dinner and out for many drinks. Saturday morning was rough! Saturday day the guys went out to the Yuba River South Folk and kicked it for the day.. Sobered up pretty much. Then the wedding was in the evening and all went well. Hopefully I'll see some pictures since Megan was barried in the crowd. Reception was also great. Sat with Jason Alonzo who I haven't seen in years.

Round 2: Sunday we got slept in, then hurried up and got dressed and drove straight to Bob's wedding. A highlight of the wedding, Nicole sang a Telsa song to Bob and everyone held up lighters.. Ahh.. classic!
